It is fascinating to me to live in the day and age I am living in. America is in a very unique stage. The "Christian" church is anything but "Christian". Come to think of it, it is rare I ever see anybody that resembles a Christian. Now don't think that I consider myself a walking example of Christ-likeness, because I don't. At least I try though.
Considering the stage of life I am in, I am looking for a wife. OK. That should be easy. A wife. A girl. Female. Simple? Well there are a lot of females in the world today. In the "Christian" movement there are probably more girls than guys. That should make my search easy then. Right? Well not exactly. I have discovered that there are very few girls who even try to live according to the Proverbs 31 standard. Not saying I don't know a few who try. But what is sad is that I only know a few. Don't think me ungrateful. God has blessed me by giving me a fellowship of families who do really try to live Christian lives. But while looking at the mini-skirt, dyed haired, low cut shirt wearing, specimens of "Christian" femininity, I can only think how I really wouldn't want to be the next generation of Christian young men looking for a wife.

In the place of justice there is evil.
I was bringing the teaching at church yesterday. It was on Ecclesiastes chapters 3 and 4. In chapter 3 Solomon makes the statement that in the place of justice there is evil. This was a statement that I believe warrants a lot of thought. Contemplating the fact that things that seem righteous are actually evil is hard for some to really grasp. I mean what is wrong with a little TV or music? Well nothing seems to be wrong with it. But that should make us all the more aware of the fact that there could be something wrong.
A long standing philosophy of mine is that if there is a lot of people doing something then it is probably wrong. Why do I say that? Well because man as a whole is basically evil. (If anybody would like to debate me on this point please feel free to do so in the comment section. But please don't cry when I prove you wrong.) Because men are basically evil then it falls into reason that are desires will always be for evil. Only as Christians will Christ's desires be given to us. Therefore when we look at the music industry or television industry we have to ask ourselves if this is something that Christ would want us involved in.
Satan is out to kill, steal, and destroy. He would like nothing better than to see every single one of us burn in hell with him forever. Satan uses things like music, even contemporary "Christian"music to do damage to our spiritual state.
Not everything is at it appears and just remember that. Satan will almost always disguise evil as good to entrap you.

My new blog
I have had blogs in the past that focused on nothing but politics. This blog will be different. It will cover everything that I consider interesting enough to put on this blog. I will do my best to write enough material to keep you interested. So sit back and read about The Statesman.
